Monday 4: Prepare for an Emergency.
You never know when an emergency will strike. They recommend creating an emergency supply kit.
Just the other day I mentioned these ideas to my Dad. Maybe we'll actually get this together this summer.
The one other activity they recommend is a Family Communication Plan. This is when you choose a family or friend who lives outside the area that everyone in the family will call to "check in" with in case of an emergency. By calling someone out of the area, you have a better chance of getting a hold of them. I recommended my cousin in California.
Hopefully with the help of my parents we can finalize some of these plans this summer.
